Product Description
14.F5.M1E-3AJA is a frequency inverter that is optimized for industrial applications. Its main use is the control and management of 3-phase step less motors. By varying output frequency and amplitude, the inverter controls the speed, position and torque of a connected motor. Some of the salient inverter features include PID controller, optional encoder interface, slip compensation, 14 parameter groups, jogging function, speed search, and programmable filters for analog/digital inputs. Several integrated I/O, including analog, digital, and relay, are available on the unit. Power circuit of the 14.F5.M1E-3AJA consists of a mains rectifier for AC to DC conversion, a DC link and an inverter for DC to AC conversion. The rectifier contains a 1-phase or 3-phase uncontrolled bridge. A DC link capacitor performs smoothing of the rectifier output.
An inrush current limiter is used to prevent high currents to the rectifier. The function of the inverter is to produce AC output with variable frequency and amplitude for controlling the connected motor. The inverter creates variable output by means of PWM control. Input rating of the 14.F5.M1E-3AJA is 400 Volts AC/DC. The output frequency ranges from 0 to 800 Hertz. Rated output of the unit is 11 kVA and it can be used to control motors with maximum 7.5 kilowatts power ratings. Proper cooling is essential for reliable and stable frequency inverter operation. For this reason, KEB recommends providing appropriate spacing around the installed unit. In addition, a cooling fan and heat sink are installed on the unit to aid heat dissipation. Proper handling and installation is critical for error-free installation and operation. Therefore, only qualified and trained personnel should handle and operate the unit.
