The frequency inverter 14.F5.A1E-3AMA is designed to drive and control three phase motors with high efficiency. This inverter offers robust performance for various motor driven applications. It is ideal for industrial automation environments requiring advanced control.
The KEB 14.F5.A1E-3AMA frequency inverter is powered by a 3 phase input with a rated input current of 36 A. It operates at a peak current of 36 A for up to 30 seconds to ensure that short bursts of higher power are handled smoothly. The inverter also includes a stall current protection feature offering 33 A at 4 kHz and 24 A at 8 kHz. The inverter’s maximum braking current is rated at 25 A which allows for efficient deceleration and quick stops. The inverter is designed for high power applications with an input of 10 hp (horsepower). The model supports up to a maximum braking resistance of 16 ohms. A key feature is the inclusion of a 15 pin Sub-D connector for connecting an incremental encoder mounted on the motor, enabling precise speed feedback. The encoder cable should not exceed 160 ft (50 m) to prevent any voltage drop that could affect the encoder's performance.
The F5 Combivert axis drive series inverter provides excellent flexibility in terms of installation and wiring. The recommended wire gauge for the input power connections is 8 AWG and the tightening torque for power terminals is specified at 11 in-lb. The inverter also supports a maximum shielded motor cable length of 330 feet (approximately 100 meters) that allows for versatile installation in larger systems. The overcurrent fault protection (E.OC) is set to trip at a level of 59 A to offer a safety feature to prevent damage to the system during overload conditions.
