The 12.F5.MDD-Y0P0 is a frequency inverter built by KEB automation as part of the F5 Combivert Axis drive series. This converter features a small mounting footprint with large die IGBTs. It is manufactured specifically for the smooth speed regulation of a three-phase servo motor. This frequency inverter can be configured to meet various industrial operation requirements, it functions with a CPU software version of 4.2 or greater, and an application software version of 1.72. This product is the first version of the series, it requires a mains input voltage of between 305 to 500 volts and an input current that can be as high as 13.34 amperes. The converter is also a three phase device. The output frequency produced by the 12.F5.MDD-Y0P0 inverter for the control of connected motors can be as high as 16 kilohertz, also the peak output voltage of the product is measured to be about 480 volts.
The 12.F5.MDD-Y0P0 frequency converter produces a power output of 6.6 kilovolts amperes, it can also deliver a power output of about 9.5 amperes. Connection of this product to other components of the servo system is relatively easy as it is equipped with several connection interfaces. The housing of this product is very strong and is able to withstand a relatively mild to moderate vibration and shock.
The operation of the 12.F5.MDD-Y0P0 should be done at an ambient temperature that is not higher than 45 degrees Celsius, this is important to reduce the risk of over temperature damage in the product during operation. Although, under normal operating condition, the risk of over heating is minimized through the air blower integrated into the product. The IP protection rating of this converter is the IP20 classification.
