12.F5.C1D-3A0A is a high-performance frequency inverter. It has a compact housing with IP20 protection rating. KEB Automation has designed the inverter for control of industrial AC motors. F5 series inverters produce AC output with precisely controlled frequency and amplitude. They do this by performing a double conversion: input AC to DC via rectification, and inversion to produce AC output. The nominal input for the 12.F5.C1D-3A0A is 400 Volts. This inverter works with three-phase AC or DC input. For DC input, only a single conversion stage is required to produce the AC output. The nominal input to the 12.F5.C1D-3A0A is 400 Volts, and the input range is from 305 to 500 Volts. The output nominal power is 6.6 kVA, and the nominal output current is 9.5 Amps. The inverter is compatible with motors having up to 4 kilowatts rating.
The inverter is rated for 8 kilohertz switching frequency. It can operate at maximum 16 kilohertz switching frequency. The nominal power loss during operation is 185 Watts. A heat sink improves the rate of heat dissipation and is maximum permitted surface temperature is 90 degrees Celsius. The inverter mounts vertically and KEB recommends providing 100 millimeters spacing on the top and bottom of the unit. Unused KEB F5 inverters require -25 to 70 degrees ambient temperature. The units must be protected from dust and corrosive gases during operation. During operation the relative humidity should not exceed 95% and the ambient temperature should be kept between -10 and 45 degrees Celsius. At 8 kilohertz, the maximum permitted motor line length is 100 meters. At 16 kilohertz switching frequency, the maximum permitted motor line length is 100 meters.
