Product Description
12.F5.B3D-1A0A is a F5 series frequency inverter from KEB Automation. It is designed for use with DC or AC input. The inverter’s main function is to produce an AC output with suitable amplitude and frequency. The inverter does this by first converter AC input to intermediate DC, and then back to AC with the desired parameters. The 12.F5.B3D-1A0A inverter also works with DC input, in which case the rectifier stage is bypassed. Input voltage rating of the 12.F5.B3D-1A0A inverter is 230 Volts AC/DC. When used with AC input, it requires a 3-phase mains connection. The rated power output of the unit is 6.6 kVA. The peak power rating of motors used with unit is 4 kilowatts. Nominal value of the output current is 16.5 Amps and the nominal input current is 23 Amps.
The OC trip current rating is 35.6 Amps. The peak short time current rating is 29.7 Amps. If required, operators can use an input fuse with maximum 25 Amps current rating. The default switching frequency for the inverter is 8 kilohertz which can be increased to 16 kilohertz. During routine operation, the inverter unit dissipates 210 Watts. Stall current of the unit is 16.5 Amps at 8 kilohertz. A heat sink is installed and its temperature must not exceed 90 degrees Celsius. The line used for motor connection should have 4 mm2 cross-section. The minimum and typical braking resistor values re 27 Ohms and 33 Ohms. The maximum brake current value is 15 Amps. The complete input voltage range stretches from 180 to 260 Volts, with 230 Volts being the nominal value. Motor lines with 100 meter length can be used with the unit.
