The 10.F5.MBD-YA0D is a compact frequency inverter designed to improve the operation efficiency of industrial machines by carrying out highly accurate control over the speed and general operation of AC three-phase servo motors used in the industrial servo system. This frequency inverter is built to feature a combination of past experiences and some of the latest industrial technologies. Despite its small housing design, it is highly relevant to a broad range of applications in various industries all over the world. The inverter contains large Insulated Gate Bi-polar Transistors (IGBTS); it also provides extensive protection of the motor from over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature damage. In the servo system, this frequency inverter provides voltage and current monitoring in both static and dynamic operations. Its power circuit is short-circuit-proof and ground fault-proof.
The 10.F5.MBD-YA0D frequency inverter features an internal noise suppression system; however, the direct connection of the inverter to voltage systems configured as corner grounded delta, center tap grounded delta or ungrounded delta may defeat the internal noise suppression. A balanced, neutral, grounded wye connection is always recommended. Also, operators that want to provide this inverter with batch circuit protection must do so with fuses as listed in the documentation delivered with the product. This inverter unit is approved as a solid-state motor overload protection device. This function is for non-ventilated motors and meets the requirements set in VDE 0660.
The 10.F5.MBD-YA0D frequency inverter is not built for use in harsh environmental conditions; its housing is designed according to IP20 and should always be installed in an enclosed control cabinet that can provide it with protection according to at least the IP54 protection category. For best high-frequency grounding, the inverter should be installed in a bare metal sub-panel.
