Product Description
The subject of this review is the KEB F4 Combivert Frequency Inverter Series model 15.F4.C1G-4A02, a highly advanced piece of hardware designed to control and fine-tune the operation of motors.
This model is very stable and the output power it can provide is 11 kW with the output current being in the form of an AC with an output frequency that can be adjusted between 0 to 300 Hz. It has an input voltage of 380-480V AC for a 3-phase supply and an output voltage of up to 480V AC for varied industrial use. This particular inverter utilizes a vector control strategy that provides better motor speed and torque control, thus improving efficiency and response capability. This device is designed to work within an operational temperature range of -10°C to +40°C making it suitable for use in industrial environments. It boasts IP20-rated protection, which ensures that the inverter is protected from any solid object larger than 12mm in diameter but it is not protected from liquid ingress so it is suitable for installation in indoor environments only. It has dimensions of 270mm x 130mm x 300mm and a relatively low weight standing at 6kg thus making it easy to install and maintain. Cooled by a forced air system, the device operates at its best temperature, and the life of the device is extended. It has an RS485 interface and Modbus protocol for communication, enabling it to fit into other automation systems.
The 15.F4.C1G-4A02 features integral state-of-the-art electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression. This feature greatly lowers the noise generated by the drive and the machinery it drives, thus increasing the stability of the drive and the overall efficiency and reliability of the drive system in most industrial applications. This product is covered by a one-year warranty from Wake Industrial.
