Product Description

14.F4.F3E-A001 is a high-performance industrial frequency inverter. It is a product of KEB Automation, and is part of the Combivert F4 product range. KEB has produced the unit to meet the highest quality demands. Its primary application is the speed regulation of compatible AC motors from KEB. Salient features of F4 inverters include extensive safety functions, high noise immunity, integrated cooling fan, current regulation, short circuit and earth fault protection, low switching losses and side-by-side installation. The inverter must be protected from dust and water. Dust proof housings used for inverter installation should have sufficient heat dissipation. Applications with cyclic on off requirements should use a minimum 5 minute off time after power off. For shorter cycle times operators must contact KEB. Nominal power output of the frequency inverter is 11 kVA.

The maximum motor power allowed by KEB is 7.5 kilowatts. A heat sink is installed and its temperature must be kept below 73 degrees Celsius. The internal cooling fan forces air taken in via the cool air inlet so that it flows over the inverter components and exits via an outlet located near the top of the unit. Operators can use a mains fuse rated for 25 Amps. The power line size should not be less than 4 mm2. Recommended tightening torque for the power terminals is 0.5 Nm. Only shielded lines should be used for the motor connection and the maximum length of these lines can be 100 meters. The 14.F4.F3E-A001 frequency inverter has an IP20 rated housing which is suited to indoor use. Units installed at altitudes of over 1000 meters will suffer from output derating at 1% per 100 meters.
