14.F4.F1E-4R04 is a frequency inverter. It is used for control of 3-phase AC motors used in industrial applications. At 305 to 440 Volts AC, the input current is 10.5 Amps. At 460 to 500 Volts AC, the input current is 8.4 Amps. The output current is 9.5 Amps at 0 to 440 Volts, and 7.6 Amps at 480 Volts. Nominal output power of the 14.F4.F1E-4R04 inverter is 6.6 kVA. Either 2 or 4 pole motors can be connected to the output of the unit. The maximum allowed motor power rating is 4 kilowatts. The rated and maximum operating frequencies are 8 and 16 kilohertz. At nominal frequency, the heat dissipation of the inverter is 240 Watts. A heat sink is fitted to the unit for improving the heat dissipation. The surface temperature of this heat sink must not exceed 73 degrees Celsius.
Operators can use a mains fuse with 25 Amps rating for input current protection. The cross-section of the AC mains power line should not be less than 4 mm2. KEB recommends using shielded motor lines. The maximum permitted length for motor lines is 100 meters. Protection rating of the 14.F4.F1E-4R04 unit is IP20. The inverter mounts vertically. Appropriate spacing must be provided for smooth airflow. The minimum recommended spacing on the sides of the mounted unit is 30 millimeters. The minimum recommended spacing on the top of the mounted unit is 150 millimeters. The minimum recommended spacing on the bottom of the mounted unit is 100 millimeters. The ambient conditions recommended by KEB for inverter operation include maximum 95% relative humidity and -10 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature. EMC for the unit is tested in accordance with EN 61800-3.
