The KEB 09.F4.S3D-1220 frequency inverter delivers premium vector control in a rugged, heavy-duty package designed for industrial use. With a 400V operating voltage and 5kW maximum capacity, it can directly control 3-phase motors up to 15HP in size for applications like conveyors, pumps, compressors, and hoists.
This inverter utilizes field-oriented vector control to deliver fast, accurate speed and torque response from connected 3-phase induction motors. By providing independent control of flux and torque vectors, it maintains precise speed regulation without hunting or oscillations. Vector control also enables advanced capabilities like servo-style position control. Efficiency is another major advantage of the 09.F4.S3D-1220, with ratings up to 95% depending on operating conditions. This reduces wasted power and energy costs compared to less efficient inverters. Three-phase 12A output feeds motors smoothly across a wide 0-400Hz frequency range. KEB engineered the drive for industrial EMC compliance to avoid interference.
The inverter includes built-in air cooling with multi-speed fans to enable continuous operation and prevent overheating trips. Onboard IO makes the 09.F4.S3D-1220 flexible for interfacing sensors, switches and other devices to create customized control schemes.
