Product Description
09.10.370 is a KEB combination clutch brake from the Combibox series. Its voltage rating is 95 Volts DC. The nominal air gap is 0.35 millimeters. The rated torque for the clutch after running in process is 65 Nm and the power draw of the clutch is 35 Watts. The rated torque for the brake after running in process is 65 Nm and the power draw of the brake is 28 Watts. The unit combines a clutch and brake in a ready to install housing. KEB’s proprietary air gap adjustment process extends the service life of these types of units 3x. Features of the unit include backlash free holding, high switching frequency with excellent positioning accuracy and air gap resetting. Each clutch brake has several components including braking magnet, clutching magnet, access plug, adjusting screws, armature and rotor.
The braking magnet, rotor and armature are subject to wear and tear. KEB recommends replacing these parts each time. Air gap adjustment of the 09.10.370 unit can be carried output after disassembling the driving size. Adjusting the air gap is a step by step process. The first step is removal of plugs from access holes. The second step is loosening of the lock nuts. The third step includes introduction of the feeler gauge between armature and rotor and moving the adjusting screw until the required air gap is reached. Step four includes tightening the lock nuts without altering the adjusting screws. The final step involves replaced plugs in access holes. KEB recommends adjusting the air gap when it has reached 3x its nominal value. Overlapping of switching time is only possible when armatures of the brake and the clutch are not connected.
