Product Description
06.09.670 is KEB Combibox series industrial clutch brake unit. Clutch brakes are an essential component in many mechanical systems that require disengaging a drive and stopping or decelerating rotating parts. They combine the functions of a clutch and a brake for smooth and controlled operation in a variety of applications, including vehicles, industrial machinery, and agricultural equipment. By preventing abrupt stops and wear, these devices help prolong the lifespan of machinery and provides efficient power management. This configurable clutch and electromagnetic brake has an enclosed frame. Operators can order IP65 rated units if required. KEBs patented procedure can be used for adjusting the air gap after installation. This feature allows extension of the service life of elements affected by friction and wear and tear. Equipment designed for stop/start operation help to reduce power consumption.
Features of KEB clutch brakes include high switching frequency, back-lash free operation and air gap management. Components of a clutch brake include a braking magnet, shifting wedges, clutching magnet, access plug, adjusting screws, rotor and armature. Nominal air gap for the 06.09.670 unit is 0.2 millimeters. Its voltage rating is 24 Volts which allows use in battery powered and most industrial applications. The power draw of the clutch is 15 Watts. The 06.09.670 is ready for installation. It supports IEC mating dimensions at the output and input sides, which allows for easy assemble of gearboxes and motors. The unit should not be lifted with force when it is used with shaft couplings, motors, belt pulleys, or gears. Minimum lubrication should be used when fitting the hollows shaft or shaft. This helps to prevent penetration of grease and onto friction surfaces.
