Product Description

This frequency converter is an electronic motor controller which is designed for the regulation of motor speed in response to remote commands from external controllers or system feedbacks. The power drive system has the motor, frequency converter and the equipment driven by the motor.

The output to motor regulates 3-phase output power to the motor. The VLT2803PS2B20ST1 has mains input for to ensure AC mains supply to the frequency converter. And the rectifier bridge changes AC input to the DC current to ensure supply inverter power.

The frequency converter of the VLT2803PS2B20ST1 supports Safe Torque Off which a significant component in safety control system. It allows energy generation which is needed to rotate the motor and thus it ensures safety for the emergency situations.

The STO function of the VLT2803PS2B20ST1 is used through the terminals 37 and 38. The power supply on the low side and high side of the driving circuits is cut off when the STO is activated. Below are the other features of the STO status in the VLT2803PS2B20ST1

• It’s voltage range is 24 V ± 5 V, with terminal 55 as the reference terminal.
• Torque is present only when the frequency converter is operating.
• Open circuit, or the voltage within the range of 0 V ± 1.5 V, with terminal 55 as the reference terminal.
