The TP2-090-07 dual axis drive delivers precision motion control via CANopen protocols. It operates as two independent CANopen DSP-402 motion control nodes. It supports Profile Position, Interpolated Position (PVT) and Homing modes. The drive supports microstepping with stepper command pulses and master encoder inputs for camming and gearing operations. Servo mode enables ± 10 V analog control for position, velocity or torque along with PWM options. The drive features Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality compliant with IEC safety standards to ensure secure motor shutdowns. The model leverages the Controller Area Network (CAN) physical layer signals, including CAN_H (high level signal), CAN_L (low level signal), and CAN_GND (ground reference) to establish physical connectivity. Communication within the network is facilitated using the CANopen protocol. Before integrating the drive into a CAN network, it is essential to assign a unique CAN Node-ID (address) to the device. This identifier ensures accurate communication and avoids conflicts between nodes within the network. The CANopen protocol supports a maximum of 127 nodes on a single CAN bus.
The Stepnet series DC drive is equipped with seven isolated digital outputs. The drive supports diverse functions including brake control. Its RS-232 port ensures seamless serial communication for configuration and control. The model also includes LEDs for AMP, RUN, ERR and Link/Act that conforms to ETG standards for operational status.
