Product Description
The model TE2-090-10 is a high performance 2 axis microstepping drive manufactured for precise control of hybrid stepper motors. It supports EtherCAT communication and utilizes the CAN Application Layer for EtherCAT (CoE). This DC powered drive is engineered for industrial automation applications requiring accurate motor control with a robust and compact design.
The Copley Controls Stepnet series microstepping drive integrates sixteen non isolated inputs and eight opto isolated bipolar digital inputs that are programmable for sourcing or sinking currents. The digital inputs support configurations tied to ground or + 24 V to enable flexible setups. Two specific inputs, IN1 and IN10 are pre configured as drive enable functions for axes A and B but can be reassigned as needed. It also includes seven digital outputs: five opto isolated outputs (OUT 1 – 5) featuring collector/emitter connections and two MOSFET outputs (OUT 6 – 7) with internal flyback diodes for inductive loads. These outputs are capable of driving motor brakes or similar functions. Rated impulse tolerances for OUT 1 – 5 exceed 800 V with a current rating of up to 300 mA and 24 V tolerance.
The mechanical and environmental aspects of this TE2-090-10 microstepping drive make it versatile for industrial use. Its compact size measures 172.1 mm x 119.3 mm x 50.4 mm (without a heatsink) and 172.1 mm x 119.3 mm x 79.9 mm (with a heatsink). It weighs between 1.5 lb and 2.75 lb. Cooling requirements include a heatsink or forced air for consistent power output. It operates in environments compliant with IEC 60068-2 standards tolerating 10 g shocks and vibrations up to 2 g at 10 – 500 Hz. Pollution degree 2 resistance and compatibility with non condensing humidity conditions ensure reliable performance in industrial applications.
