Product Description
The STL-055-04 stepper motor driver is a high performance motor controller manufactured for precision motor control applications. The model is designed with a compact 4 square inch mounting package. It supports CANopen networking and delivers fully digital control for NEMA 17 and 23 stepper motors. It ensures reliable operation in compact setups like desktop instrumentation.
This Stepnet series motor driver offers a peak current output of 4.5 A (3.2 A sinusoidal) and a continuous current rating of 3 A (2.1 A sinusoidal). Its input power ranges from + 20 V to + 55 V. The drive provide stable transformer isolated operation with an Ipeak limit of 5.0 A and a continuous current limit of 3.5 A. The device features a programmable step-to-position ratio that supports advanced electronic gearing. The driver also supports incremental position commands in various formats such as Step/Direction and CU/CD or A/B quadrature signals from master encoders. It can operate as a brushless servo motor using the servo mode function or as a conventional stepper with stall detection.
The Copley Controls STL-055-04 stepper motor driver includes one dedicated enable logic input (IN1) and eleven programmable inputs for custom uses such as limit and home switches, stepper pulse inputs, motor feedback encoders and temperature monitoring. It provides four logic outputs for fault reporting and status monitoring. It delivers a 5 V DC output at 250 mA to support internal and external circuits that requires an L-C filter for isolation. The motor driver weighs 1.3 oz (37 g) with a compact size of 2.5 inches x 1.6 inches x 0.71 inches. This motor driver combines efficient design with robust functionality to meet demanding motor control needs.
