Product Description
The JSP-180-10 servo amplifier is a high performance device designed by Copley Controls to ensure optimal control of DC brush or voice coil motors with ungrounded windings. It delivers precision and reliability for demanding motion control applications.
The JSP-180-10 servo amplifier features current loop sampling at 20 kHz to provide exceptional bandwidth and adjustability while the velocity loop operates at 4 kHz for broad velocity control. Its carrier cancellation modulation minimizes motor ripple current and heat dissipation especially at a standstill to ensure low distortion for voice coil motor applications. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) operates at 40 kHz that significantly reducing losses in low inductance motors. The digital inputs employ 74HCT14 Schmitt triggers with RC filters to offer programmable functions for active levels via CME 2™ software. Inputs can handle Vin-LO below 0.5 V and Vin-HI above 1.9 V with a maximum input voltage of 10 V DC. The device supports pull-up or pull-down configurations to 5 Vdc or ground. This servo amplifier excels in demanding applications requiring accurate control, thermal efficiency and operational flexibility.
The Junus series servo amplifier includes an RS-232 port supporting baud rates from 9,600 to 115,200, with a modular RJ-11 connector for setup and control for communication. The amplifier provides a bi-color LED for a status indication that simplifies diagnostics through color and blink patterns. It is equipped with dedicated and group programmable inputs for enabling amplifier functions, reset and active level selections. The motor connection terminals Mot (+) and Mot (-) are compatible with DC brush and voice coil motors. The combination of robust input filtering, versatile programming capabilities and high frequency PWM modulation ensures precise motor control with minimized ripple and energy loss.
