The Copley Controls ASP-055-18 servo amplifier is a compact 100 % digital servo motor amplifier. It offers precise control of brushless motors in torque, velocity and position modes. This device supports easy setup via CME 2™ software and robust RS-232 connectivity to ensure seamless integration with advanced systems.
This Accelus series servo amplifier provides sinusoidal field oriented commutation for efficient DC brushless motor control. It operates with a 20 kHz current loop update rate and a 4 kHz velocity loop update rate to ensure rapid response and precise tuning. Auto phasing and auto tuning features streamline commissioning and eliminate the need for extensive reconfiguration. The device transitions from trapezoidal to sinusoidal commutation using Hall signal inputs and phase correction for smooth operation. It accommodates demanding applications with a peak current of 18 Adc and a continuous current of 6 Adc. The PWM ripple frequency of 40 kHz and 20 kHz center weighted modulation enhances performance and minimizes interference. Non volatile memory ensures saved parameters persist across power cycles. The digital reference inputs can process signals in two distinct formats: step motor pulses or quadrature encoder signals when using the servo amplifier in position mode. Regardless of the chosen format, the system allows you to configure the relationship between the input pulse count and the motor encoder counts to suit your specific application requirements.
The ASP-055-18 digital servo amplifier accepts a voltage range of + 20 to + 55 V DC with transformer isolation ensuring safe operation.
