The Copley Controls BEL-090-14 DC servo drive is developed for high precision motion control. This servo drive is a reliable solution for industrial automation. This Accelnet series servo drive supports both RS-232 and EtherCAT communication ports. The RS-232 port operates as a full duplex DTE communication interface and is capable of baud rates ranging from 9,600 to 115,200. It supports both binary and ASCII protocols for different communication needs. The servo motor is equipped with dual EtherCAT ports that features 100BASE-TX and enable high speed real time data exchange for seamless integration into motion control systems. The drive also includes a thermal and short circuit protected DC power output rated at + 5 V DC and 500 mA to ensure stable performance without exceeding the total current limit. The servo motor has a comprehensive set of indicators including bi-color LEDs for drive state, green LEDs for physical link status, and red LEDs for error detection that conforms to ETG.1300 standards.
The BEL-090-14 DC servo drive incorporates multiple protection features to ensure safe operation. High voltage overprotection activates when + HV exceeds 90 VDC while undervoltage protection engages below 14 V DC. Additional safeguards include thermal shutdown for heat plates exceeding 70 °C, short circuit protections across various output conditions and programmable current limiting. This device also features motor over temperature protection using programmable digital inputs and feedback loss detection for inadequate encoder signals. The drive offers precision control via its programmable continuous and peak current settings.
