Product Description
The DC servo drive APM-090-14 is designed for compatibility with various brushless or DC brush motors. It ensures high efficiency and reliability. The product is ideal for demanding industrial automation and motion control applications.
The Accelnet series servo drive integrates a 3 phase MOSFET inverter with 16 kHz center weighted PWM. It operates with space vector modulation for improved motor performance. The PWM ripple frequency is set at 32 kHz to ensure smooth motor operation. The motor connections support ungrounded Wye or Delta-configured brushless motors and DC brush motors. Encoder compatibility is provided along with dedicated Hall sensor and encoder power at + 5 V DC ± 2 %. The servo drive includes motor over temperature protection with a programmable input to disable drive functionality in case of thermal overload. The compact dimensions of the servo drive are 76.3 x 58.2 x 20.5 mm that makes it suitable for space constrained setups. It weighs 0.27 lb (0.12 kg) without a heatsink.
The communication of the Copley Controls APM-090-14 DC servo drive is facilitated via CANopen and RS-232 protocols. The CANopen interface supports up to 127 nodes per CAN bus and uses physical layer signals CANH, CANL and GND. RS-232 allows configuration through a full duplex, three wire DTE interface supporting baud rates from 9600 to 115200. The drive accepts analog command inputs in the range of ± 10 V DC for position, velocity or torque commands. It supports a voltage range for motor connections and is tolerant to + 5 VDC for all listed inputs. The operating temperature of the drive ranges from 0 °C to +45 °C with a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C.
