The Bosch VT1600 is a VT1600 series servo amplifier. VT1600 amplifiers are designed for controlling servo valves (pilot) that do not support LVDT feedback. VT1600 amplifiers are used for closed-loop applications. VT1600 amplifiers without voltage regulators require ±15 Volts DC supply. VT1600 amplifiers with voltage regulators require ±22 to ±28 Volts DC power supply.  The current consumption of the VT1600 is less than 200 milliamps. The voltage range for internal control is 0 to ±10 Volts DC. The amplifier supplies ±60 milliamps/±100 milliamps output current. The typical dither current is 340 Hertz. The VT1600 comes in Euro card format. It installs in a card holder or in a Euro magazine. Dimensions of the front plate are 128 x 5 millimeters. Dimensions of the main circuit board are 100 x 160 millimeters.

The technical data for the relay on the VT1600 are as follows: 2000 Ohms nominal coil resistance, 1 millisecond duty cycle and 22 to 28 Volts DC coil voltage. The recommended ambient voltage range is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The recommended storage temperature range is -20 to 70 degrees Celsius. The amplifier weighs approximately 0.15 kilograms. The ammeter provided on the front panel allows easy monitoring of output current. The product documentation lists precautions that are necessary for reliable amplifier operation. The most important precaution is to power off the amplifier before connecting or disconnecting it. Radio transmitters and similar devices should not be used within 3 feet of the amplifier module. Measurements should be made with a high impedance meter. Switches used for input signals should be capable of handling currents less than 1 milliamp. Personnel working with the VT1600 should have proper training and experience.
