Product Description
The VT-1600S3X-E is an industrial servo amplifier. Bosch Rexroth has designed it for control of pilot servo valves such as model 4WS.EM, 2DS1EO, and 3DS2EH. These valves do not support Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) feedback. An LVDT is a common electromechanical transducer that can convert the rectilinear motion of an object to which it is coupled mechanically into a corresponding electrical signal. The amplifier converts an input signal to a proportional current for the torque motor. The torque motor controls the pressure balance in the pilot valve. Salient features of VT-1600 valves include integrated PID control unit that allows tuning of optimum position control, internal potentiometers for quick adjustment of PID values, control input for increased control capabilities, and a voltage stabilizer for stable amplifier performance.
If the voltage regulator is removed, the power supply voltage is ±15 Volts DC. If the voltage regular is installed the power supply voltage is ±22 Volts DC. Current consumption of the VT-1600S3X-E amplifier does not exceed 200 milliamps. The Euro card amplifier PCB measures 100 x 160 millimeters. The front panel of the amplifier module measures 128 x 5 millimeters. For optimal operation the ambient temperature should be between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius. The optimal storage temperature range is -20 to 70 degrees Celsius. Precautions and safety instructions included in the product manual can help to prevent equipment damage and personnel injury. The most important precaution is to turn off amplifier power before connecting or disconnecting it. The control voltage wires should be shielded. Signal wires should not be run in the vicinity of power lines. The VT-1600S3X-E amplifier should be separated from radio transmitters by at least 3 feet.
