The VT-VSPA1K-1-1X- SO43A-1668 is an analog valve amplifier. It is designed by Bosch for use with pilot operated and direct proportional pressure valves. The amplifier can only be used with valves that lack electrical position feedback. The VT-VSPA1K-1-1X- SO43A-1668 is an amplifier with one actuating element, which is a solenoid. The amplifier is designed for 24 Volts DC nominal input but operates over the entire range of voltages from 22 to 35 Volts DC. The I/O interface on the VT-VSPA1K-1-1X- SO43A-1668 valve is a 16-pole terminal strip that does not have a front plate. Other types of valves have a 32-pole male connector for the I/O interface. At the time of delivery, the default values for some of the parameters are as follows: 5 seconds for the peak ramp time, 100 milliamps for the pilot current, 800 milliamps for the maximum output current, and 200 Hertz for the clock frequency. The amplifier product documentation contains several safety precautions for amplifier use. These precautions are as follows: the solenoid conductor should be shielded, distance between the amplifier and radar systems and radios should be at least 1 meter, and only instruments with input resistance exceeding 100 kiloohms should be used for making measurements.
