The Bosch VT-MSPA1-50-1X-V001 is an analogue amplifier with a modular design. It is suited to control of one proportional solenoid with 2.5 Amps rating. The amplifier is compatible with direct operated proportional valves in screw-in cartridge valve technology. Amplifier features include a differential input, one pulsed output stage, ramp generator with separately adjustable “up” and “down” times, reverse polarity protection for DC power supply, adjustable maximal current, adjustable current step, zero point potentiometer, measuring sockets for actual value and command value of current, and green LED lamp to indicate “Ready for operation”. Connections to the VT-MSPA1-50-1X-V001 must only be made when it is de-energized. The minimum acceptable distance between the amplifier and sources of radio frequency interference/electromagnetic radiation is 1 meter. Command value cables must be shielded and laid at an appropriate distance form power cables.
An external smoothing capacitor can be used to counter the effects of power supply fluctuations. The inputs of the differential amplifier must always be switched on or off simultaneously. Relays with gold-plated contacts should be used for passing on command values (small voltages, small currents). Only instruments with input impedance exceeding 100 kiloohms should be used for taking measurements on the module. A screwdriver with a blade width of 2.5 to 3.5 millimeters should be used for adjusting the potentiometers. The amplifier dimensions are 25 x 79 x 85.5 millimeters and its weight is 0.13 kilograms. The IP20 rated amplifier is protected from solids with 12 millimeters dimensions. However, it is unprotected against liquid ingress and should be mounted inside a suitable enclosure. The VT-MSPA1-50-1X-V001 is designed for mounting on a top hat rail TH 35 - 7.5. Only trained technical personnel should install the module.
