Bosch Rexroth’s HNC100 digital axis control units are highly functional electrical components used to achieve various control functions in hydraulic and drive systems. They are compact units commonly used in machine tools, plastics machines, special-purpose machines, presses, and transfer systems.
The VT-HNC100-1-1X/140 is an HNC100 digital axis control unit designed for hydraulic and electric drives by Bosch Rexroth. It features a housing composed of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide plastic, which displays a measure of resistance to ultraviolet rays. Some of its control functions are pressure control, force control, position control, and velocity control. As a result, operating modes such as direct valve control, positioning block mode, drive-controlled position control, and drive-controlled positioning can be implemented with the control unit. It is equipped with LEDs which serve as indicators for the device’s operating states. They are also helpful in the detection and resolution of faults. Other protective monitoring functions built into this HNC100 model prevent potentially harmful conditions, including short-circuit for analog/digital outputs, undervoltage, and over-current of 24V sensor voltage and digital outputs.
A nominal voltage of 24V DC is required for the operation of the VT-HNC100-1-1X/140. It weighs 0.6kg and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20. Hence, it is protected from damage by the penetration of solid external objects of 12mm or more. Its booting time between switch-on and when the position control system becomes active is less than 15 seconds. Also, it has a slot for SD cards with an SPI bus interface where the PLC program and other optional data can also be filed. The control unit can be parameterized and commissioned using the IndraWorks software by Bosch Rexroth. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
