VT-HNC100-1-14 is a Bosch Rexroth programmable NC control. It is designed for closed loop control applications. Closed-loop control provides higher accuracy and precision compared to open-loop control, and is a requirement for applications that require higher accuracy and precision. Typical control applications include transfer lines, plastics processing machines, presses and rail bound vehicles. The measuring system on the VT-HNC100-1-14 includes an incremental or absolute, ±10 Volts reference voltage and 4 to 20 milliamps or 0 to ±10 Volts analog. The controller supports multiple freely configurable control variants, including position controller, synchronization control, pressure/force controller, and position dependent braking. Power consumption of the NC control is 8 Watts. It requires DC input at voltages ranging from 18 to 32 Volts. WIN-PED software is available for control configuration. This software runs on a computer with 80286 or better processor, 8 MB or more of RAM and 10 MB of hard disk capacity. An RS-232 interface is available on the VT-HNC100-1-14 control for computer communication. The programming software is not provided with the NC control. Rather operators can either order it on CD-ROM or download it from the manufacturer’s website. The NC control has four analog inputs for different voltage with -15 to 15 Volts range, 200 kilohms input resistance, 5 millivolts input resolution and less than 10 millivolts non-linearity. The NC control also has four current inputs that support 4 to 20 milliamps input current, 100 Ohms input resistance, and 5 microamps resolution. The four input impedance channels on the NC control support -10 to 10 Volts, greater than 10 megaohms input resistance, and 5 millivolts resistance. Only trained personnel should handle, install, and operate the NC control.
