Product Description
The VM60-T is a dynamic supply module featured under Bosch Indramat’s VM amp drive series. Supply modules are essential components of any industrial automation system. Without it, electrical machines and equipment are at a higher risk of experiencing undervoltage, overvoltage, or overcurrent conditions. Supply modules make sure that each component or device in the system receives a consistent voltage or supply depending on the required specifications. It converts the supply power or signal into an appropriate form that would be sufficient for the connected devices. Some advanced supply modules can provide power to different devices at varying levels.
The VM60-T is one of Indramat’s best supply modules, typically utilized for Servodyn-D systems. Supply modules do not generate power. Supply modules are connected to the mains line, mains filter, and starting circuit to provide regulated voltage input for the connected machines or devices. It acts as a main regulator and usually works with other modules, such as servo modules (SM), inside a switch cabinet. The VM60-T is compatible with industrial systems having a three-phase main line with a rated voltage of up to 400 V. Aside from aiding SM modules for controlling motor lines, the VM60-T also has an interface for a 24 V control line where another filter terminal is connected. The filter line inside a switch cabinet is then connected to PLCs and CNCs.
At the low-side of the VM60-T, the SM modules are then connected to other signal lines and motor encoders. In general, the VM60-T usually sits between the mains filter and other low-voltage filter terminals. It works best with Bosch’s SM modules for regulating AC motor lines, signal lines, and AC motor encoders.
