Product Description
The VM 50/B-TC 3/PE is one of Bosch Indramat’s most potent supply modules released under the VM amp drive series. Consisting of a family of inverters, amplifiers, and drives, the VM drive series by Indramat Rexroth is an impressive product line fit for industrial and automation systems. Under the VM product line, several supply modules are available. One of the most sought-after supply modules under the VM family is the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE. This module performs well in a three-phase system and works well with other servo modules for ensuring a stable voltage profile in the motor lines. As a medium-sized supply module, the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE is usually interfaced with the system’s main filter.
As mentioned earlier, the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE is suitable for three-phase systems. Particularly, the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE is compatible with systems having an AC mains line voltage of 380 volts at standard frequency. Depending on the location or country, the standard frequency may vary. In the US and Canada, the standard electrical system frequency is 60 hertz, while for Europe and certain parts of China, the standard is 50 hertz. To maximize the capabilities of the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE, it is commonly installed near the main filter of the system. The system’s main filter is responsible for reducing radio-frequency interference and electromagnetic interference.
The output of the main’s filter is what’s fed to the main terminals of the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE. Working in conjunction with other servo (SM) modules, the VM 50/B-TC 3/PE provides regulated voltage signals for controlling several motors in the system. On the other side of the supply module block, the control line provides the necessary signal for another filter terminal, which is then connected to the PLCs and CNCs.
