TVM2.2-50-220/300-W1/220/380 is TVM series power supply module. It is designed and produced by Bosch Rexroth. The module rectifies AC input and converts it to DC. The nominal DC output of the power module is 300 Volts DC. The continuous and peak DC output power is 7.5 kilowatts and 60 kilowatts respectively. Nominal output current of the unit is 50 Amps. Control electronics on the power module require single-phase AC input at 220 or 380 Volts AC. Operators can use a bleeder resistor to increase the regenerated power. When a bleeder module is used, the continuous bleeder power is 0.45 kilowatts, the peak bleeder power is 10 kilowatts, and the peak regenerated power is 14 kilowatts. At maximum load, the peak power loss of the TVM2.2-50-220/300-W1/220/380 module is 130 Watts. Bosch has designed TVM modules for vertical mounting. The module has an IP10 rated housing. Bosch recommends installation inside an industrial cabinet. Proper spacing is essential for smooth airflow. Failure to provide adequate spacing restricts airflow, which hinders heat dissipation. Bosch recommends 80 millimeters spacing on the top and bottom sides. In addition, combustible materials should be kept at a minimum distance of 40 millimeters from the sides of the power module and 200 millimeters from its top. Optimal performance is only possible when the ambient temperature is between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius. At higher ambient temperature, the internal temperature of the module will reach unsafe levels that can cause component malfunction and failure. Altitude of the site where the TVM2.2-50-220/300-W1/220/380 is deployed should be between 0 and 1000 meters. Deated operation is allowed at altitudes less than 5000 meters. Operation is not permitted at altitudes in excess of 5000 meters.
