TVM1.2-050-220/300-W1-115 is a power supply module. It is designed and produced by Bosch Rexroth. The main purpose of using this power supply is to convert AC input from the mains supply to DC output for industrial drive units. The input rating of the TVM1.2-050-220/300-W1-115 module is 220 Volts AC. The unit requires 3-phase input at 50 to 60 Hertz line frequency. A rectifier on the module converts AC input to DC. The DC bus voltage for the unit is 300 Volts DC. In addition to the main power input, the TVM1.2-050-220/300-W1-115 module requires 115 Volts AC power for the control electronics. This voltage is single-phase rather than three-phase. Rated output of the power module is 50 Amps. Multiple drive units can draw DC power from a single TVM power supply module. Bosch has designed the unit for vertical mounting. With an IP10 rated housing, it is designed for mounting inside a cabinet. At least 80 millimeters of spacing should be provided on the top and bottom sides for unobstructed airflow. As the module can get hot, combustible materials such as wires and cables should be kept at least 200 millimeters from the top and 40 millimeters from the side of the unit. Bosch provides several accessories for use with the module. Bleeder resistors are available for applications that require an increase in the peak and continuous regenerated power. Autotransformers are available for applications where the AC mains operates at a different voltage and voltage adaptation is required. Isolation transformers are available for applications where the AC mains is ungrounded. Auxiliary capacitors, dynamic braking contactors, and dynamic braking resistors are also available. Only trained personnel with relevant experience should work on the power module.
