TVM 2.4-050-110/220-W1/110/220 is a power supply module designed for industrial applications. Bosch Rexroth industrial drive systems include one supply module and a number of drive modules. Each TVM supply provides DC power for multiple drive units. The drives utilize DC power for control electronics and for the industrial motors they control. Input voltage rating of the TVM 2.4-050-110/220-W1/110/220 module is 220 Volts AC. The nominal output current is 50 Amps. An internal blower provides improved heat dissipation. Control electronics on the power supply module require external AC power at 110 to 220 Volts AC. The control electronics require single-phase input, whereas the main power supply is three-phase. Bosch supplies different accessories to fulfil different application requirements. These include autotransformers for adapting the input voltage, isolation transformers for protecting the power module when connecting to ungrounded mains, bleeder resistors for increasing regenerated power, capacitors, and dynamic brake resistors. Isolation transformers available with Bosch support maximum 10 kVA power rating. Autotransformers available with Bosch support maximum 20 kVA power rating. Both of these types of transformers are available in wall-mount and foot-mount versions. The optimal working temperature range is 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. The optimal storage temperature for TVM modules is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius. Output of TVM modules derates if the temperature is higher than 45 degrees, and when the site elevation is more than 1000 meters. The module comes in an IP10 rated enclosure that is suited to cabinet mounting. The product documentation contains relevant instructions related to module operation and safety. Operators and their staff must read and implement all manufacturer recommendations. Failure to follow manufacturer recommendations can lead to serious injury and/or equipment damage.
