The Rexroth TVM 2.2-050-W1-115V is a supply module for Indramat AC drive systems. One supply module can run several drives. Function of TVM series modules is to provide control voltages for connected drives and DC high voltage for connected motors. It achieves this by converting the three-phase 220 Volts AC input to DC. The AC to DC conversion is performed by a rectifier. An autotransformer can be used in case the voltage rating of the main AC supply does not match the supply module input rating. A circuit breaker should also be used for protection of the input side of the supply module. The TVM 2.2-050-W1-115V supplies the drive electronics through the ribbon cable. An extensive range of monitoring functions is available on the supply module. Rexroth recommends that the module should be operated at altitudes below 1000 meters and at ambient temperatures lying between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius.
Under these ideal ambient conditions, the output of the TVM 2.2-050-W1-115V is rated for 50 Amps. However if the supply module is operated under other-than-ideal ambient conditions, the output will be less than the rated value. Voltage on the DC bus of the supply during operation is 300 Volts DC. The TVM 2.2-050-W1-115V requires a single phase input at 115 Volts AC for control electronics. The TVM 2.2-050-W1-115V is air cooled and includes a blower for cooling. A LED display on the front panel of the TVM 2.2-050-W1-115V displays status codes during fault conditions. These codes help to identify and troubleshoot the problem.
