The Rexroth Indramat TVM 1.2-050-W1-220V is a 50 Amps rated power supply module. It is an air cooled module with integrated blower. Bleeder resistor on the module generates heat during operation. Therefore safety clearances should be provided around an operating TVM 1.2-050-W1-220V module to prevent obstruction of paths required for movement of air. Combustible materials such as cable channels and wires should be positioned so that they are at least 40 millimeters away to the side and front and 200 millimeters away on the top side of the unit. The TVM 1.2-050-W1-220V accepts three-phase 220 Volts AC input and converts it to DC for powering Indramat motors. The module also accepts single-phase 220 Volts AC for the control electronics and provides +24 /±15 Volts DC control voltages for the Indramat drives.
The electronics of the connected drive modules are supplied with control voltages via the ribbon cable. The power supply module supports extensive monitoring functions. These functions communicate with the Indramat drive modules via the voltages on the signal bus. Housing of the TVM 1.2-050-W1-220V is IP 10 rated. The supply module is designed for installation inside a switch cabinet where it will be protected from dust, moisture and unauthorized access. The output ratings for the TVM 1.2-050-W1-220V and the loads for control voltages listed in the product documentation are valid when the ambient temperature is between +5 and +45 degrees Celsius. The output derating starts at +46 degrees Celsius and reaches 20% at +55 degrees Celsius. The output ratings for the TVM 1.2-050-W1-220V power supply module also derate when the altitude exceeds 1000 meters or 3300 feet above sea level, and reaches a maximum level of 35% at 5000 meters.
