TVM 1.1-050-220/300-W1 is a power supply module from Bosch Rexroth’s TVM series. It is designed for industrial applications. The module converts AC input to DC output for the drives. It is part of the TVM product line and can supply power to multiple drive units. Rated current output of the module is 50 Amps. The input rating of the module is 220 Volts AC. In most cases, an autotransformer can be used to adapt the mains voltage. The autotransformer limits the inrush current to the supply module. DC bus voltage on the module is 300 Volts DC. The module has a heat sink with blower for effective heat dissipation. Rated output is only possible when the site altitude is less than 1000 meters and when the ambient temperature is between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius. Derated operation is permitted at ambient temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius. With regard to altitude, derated operation is permitted at altitudes of up to 5000 meters. The humidity class of the TVM 1.1-050-220/300-W1 module is F per DIN 40 040. The insulation class is C per DIN VDE 0110. Protection category of the TVM 1.1-050-220/300-W1 module is IP10. Therefore, it can only be used outdoors when it is installed inside a suitable cabinet. The supply can be connected to grounded mains without an isolation transformer. However, for ungrounded mains, there is a risk of overvoltage. Therefore, for safety, Bosch recommends using an isolation transformer when connecting the power supply to ungrounded AC mains. An optional bleeder module can be connected to the output of the power supply to increase the regenerated power. Only qualified personnel should handle and operate the power supply.
