The TVM 2.1-050-220/300-W1/115/200V power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth is one of the several TVM lineups of such modules from the manufacturer. The auxiliary capacitance supports 15% overvoltage if the product does not feature a regulated DC bus. Such capacitances can store around 30W for 1mF capacitance. The device can be put to use with a maximum of six servo drives at a time. These servo drives are widely used in machine tools. The ground rail at the top of its front panel serves as a common grounding point for each connected drive. The module is capable of monitoring multiple parameters such as the motor feedback and the bleeder resistor load.
This product shuts OFF the power connection to the drives connected to it immediately using its ready-state contact when a problem is encountered. The line input connection of the unit is protected using fuses or circuit breakers. The device along with the connection of an auxiliary bleeder module has increased peak as well as continuous regenerated power rating. It does not require any semiconductor fuses for its protection. It is one of the three key components of the manufacturer’s servo drive system. The module is cooled by an inbuilt blower during operation.
The device comes with a type current of 50A, a three-phase 220VAC input voltage, and a frequency of 50Hz to 60Hz. The unit also has a 300V nominal DC bus voltage rating. The diagnostic LEDs light up in green when there is no fault. Its X9 connector encompasses three terminals for connecting the AC power input and two terminals for its DC bus connection. The wire ribbon cable used to monitor the drives as well as supply the signal voltage is connected to the X1 connector of the module.
