The TDA 1.3-100-3-A0I is a modular main spindle controller produced by Rexroth Indramat to control INDRAMAT asynchronous main spindle motors 2AD and frameless spindle motors 1MB. Servo motors connected to the spindle controller are characterized by high stiffness and can rotate over a broad speed range; these motors also generate a high power output ranging from 3 to 10 kilowatts. The TDA 1.3-100-3-A0I spindle controller can be applied in NC industrial machines since the spindle controller's characteristics perfectly complement the machine's operation.
The TDA 1.3-100-3-A0I spindle controller contains a removable programming module containing specified parameters that control the drive's operation. The controller programming module's portability makes installation and customization of new servo drive easy since the characteristics of old drives can be transferred to the new ones by inserting the old drives' programming module into new ones. The parameters specified in the TDA 1.3-100-3-A0I spindle controller's documentation is only true when the controller is operated at an ambient temperature less than 55 degree Celsius above this ambient temperature, the operation of the spindle controller might differ from the information stated in the documentation. The drive controller should not be installed at an elevation greater than 1000 meters above sea level.
The drive controller uses a SERCOS interface to communicate with the control center; it has a maximum feedback resolution of 1/4000000th of a revolution. The drive controller's housing only protects the drive from large solid materials; other harmful environmental factors such as dust and water can easily penetrate the drive.
