The TDA 1.1-100-3-A0D main spindle controller from Bosch Rexroth is one of the manufacturer’s several TDA series of such controllers. This controller is used for the digital control of frameless spindle motors and asynchronous main spindle motors from the same manufacturer. These motors have a continuous power ranging between 3kW and 10kW at their shafts. The drives deployed by this product feature high stiffness. The device can be used with other controllers to implement feed axes. Its drive is equipped with the ability to operate the spindle as a C-axis or a servo axis that has a position control loop with high accuracy.
This spindle controller produces the compatible position signals that are required for incremental encoders via an optional output. The unit makes use of parameter values for matching the controller to the connected main spindle motor. This product features a series code of 1. The device is intended to operate between a temperature range of 5°C and 45°C with rated data. It has a keypad on its control panel for entering the parameters at the time of commissioning.
