The Bosch Indramat TCM 1.1-04-W0 is an auxiliary capacitance module. It is designed to store energy which can be used during acceleration. Auxiliary capacitance of the TCM 1.1-04-W0 is 4 mF and it is designed for cooling through natural convection. Weight of the module is approximately 6 kilograms. There is an inlet for cooling air on the bottom side of the module and an outlet for cooling air on the top side of the module. Bosch recommends minimum 80 millimeters of clearance on the top and bottom sides of the TCM 1.1-04-W0 to allow for smooth flow of air. The module dimensions are 208 x 355 x 100 millimeters. The maximum wire size recommended for power connections to the module is 6 mm2. The maximum recommended stud torque is 2.5 Nm.

The TCM 1.1-04-W0 is an optional accessory for power supply modules which are used to power Indramat AC drives. Additional capacitors such as the TCM 1.1-04-W0 and soft start resistors are used to limit inrush current when transformer power is greater than 10 kVA. More than one drive can be run from one supply module. The power supply provides the DC voltage for the motor power and control voltages for connected drives. Power rectifiers in the power supply rectify the three-phase in voltage and provide DC voltage output for the drives. When the drives are operating in generator mode, the regenerated power is absorbed by the bleeder resistor in the power supply. The buffer capacitor in the power supply provides smoothing. A wire ribbon cables carries power from the power supply to the drive module. Input voltage rating for the power supplies are 230 / 400 Volts AC or 115 / 230 Volts AC.
