Product Description
The TBM 1.1-20-W1/220 bleeder module belongs to the TBM series of modules offered by Bosch Rexroth. The module shows signs of overloading if its resistor is defective or there is an internal fault. The bleeder resistor is primarily used for safety. It also plays an important role in enhancing voltage regulation. The module features a maximum 20kW power rating. The heatsink blower has a nominal 220V voltage rating. The product protects both the drive and the people operating it against overvoltage. The unit can function as a standalone module or along with multiple modules of the same or different types.
The bleeder module helps to drain the electric charge in the filter capacitors present in the power supply. As a result, there is no risk of electric shock to maintenance personnel and users when they operate the drive that the device works with because there is no overcharge left. The bleeder module must be replaced as soon as its resistor is found to be defective or malfunctioning. When a bleeder resistor of high value is used, the capacitors get discharged at a slow rate. However, the power loss will be lesser in this case than that of a small value resistor.
The bleeder resistor must be connected in parallel to the capacitor that should be discharged after the device and power supply are switched off. The module is cooled through internal air circulation generated by the inbuilt blower. The bleeder resistor absorbs the regenerated energy when the connected drive operates in the generator mode. It is ideal to mount the resistor directly on to the terminals of the capacitor so that the bleeder device is not disconnected easily or accidentally. The TBM 1.1-20-W1/220 auxiliary module can be shipped to the address of your preference with a warranty for one year.
