Product Description

Bosch Rexroth manufactures state of the art automation equipment to assist modern industries for their motion control requirements. The company also produces highly intelligent servo drives and inverter systems.

The SM 5/10-TC inverter system belongs to the SM..T range produced by the company. The inverter system is used to control the motor’s position, speed, and torque. It optimizes the performance of industrial servo motor and maximizes their output. The SM 5/10-TC operates on a maximum DC link voltage of 700 V while its rated voltage is 460 V. The device has a 10 A peak current while its rated current is 5 A. The inverter system comes with built-in power semiconductors that are capable of controlling the current and voltage of a servo motor. Depending on the torque required at a given speed, the power semiconductors generate signals to alter a motor's voltage and current to produce the required torque. With a rotor position recognition function, the inverter is able to record the exact rotor location and generate signals to adjust the rotor as per the required position.

The SM 5/10-TC has a maximum power loss of 90 W. A 20 W power connection is required to operate the system. Because of its highly capable error detection system, the inverter can generate fault signals when the servo motor remains static even after receiving maximum current for a duration of 2 seconds. A fault is also reported if faulty signals are transmitted by the rotor position recorder. To avoid overtemperature failure, the SM 5/10-TC reports an error if the motor windings reach a temperature of 140 ᵒC.  The ideal operating temperatures for this model lie between 0 ᵒC to 55 ᵒC. This product is available from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
