Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures highly sophisticated motion control systems that are known for their durability and affordability.
The SM 5/10-TA is an inverter system manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The system uses power semiconductors for position and speed control in industrial servo motors. The semiconductors generate current and voltage signals in such a way that the required torque is always available at any operating speed. The inverter also comes with a speed regulation capability. It comes with an optimization card that contains the speed regulator. The inverter fully optimizes the performance of servo motor with the help of a rotor position detector and a brushless tacho. This model has a 5 A rated current and needs a 20 W power supply for operation. With a 10 A peak current, the system’s maximum power loss has been restricted to 90 W. The SM 5/10-TA operates on 460 Volts rated DC link voltage.
The SM 5/10-TA comes with an inbuilt heat dissipation system. An axial blower fan has been installed in the inverter that uses forced ventilation for cooling. The inverter system has been designed to automatically detect different system errors when the servo motor is running. The inverter generates a fault signals if the motor remains static for even after receiving the maximum current for 2 seconds. Excess motor temperature is reported by a fault signal when the motor temperature rises above 140 ᵒC. The SM 5/10-TA can also detect the overheating of the power unit's heat sink temperature. The inverter can be operated within a 1000 m elevation above the sea level. For best performance, the system should not be operated in areas that have an ambient temperature greater than 55 ᵒC. This product is available from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
