The SM 5/10 TCI is a intelligent servo inverter module designed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for accurate motor control in dynamic industrial settings, The servo inverter is manufactured according to international quality and safety standards, it has modular design and an housing design that meet the IP20 protection class, it should be installed in a closed control cabinet before operation. The servo inverter is tested and certified to meet the highest standards of quality, it is also very easy to install into the industrial servo system. An air blower is integrated into the housing of the servo inverter module to dissipate the excess heat generated by this inverter system according to forced ventilation. To aid the temperature regulation process, the inverter should be installed at an ambient temperature that falls between 0 to about 40 degree celsius
The continuous input voltage required by the servo inverter during operation is about 700 volts, also the rated input voltage is about 460 volts. Also, the rated input current used by the servo inverter is about 5 amperes, while the maximum input current can be as high as 10 amperes. The servo inverter has an advanced error detection mechanism, when an error is detected the operator is alerted though the special Light Emitting Diodes present on the front panel of the servo inverter. A programming module containing the configuration instructions required by the servo inverter is integrated into the front panel of the motor. This programming module can be transferred from one inverter to the next.
