Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a manufacturer of motion control equipment. The company manufactures highly innovative automation products including servo motors and inverter modules.
The SM 17/35-TA is an inverter system developed by the company. The system has been developed to extract maximum performance from the brushless servo motors produced at Rexroth. The inverter module is used to control the speed and torque of servo motors. In addition, the SM 17/35-TA is capable of rotor position recognition and comes with a brushless tacho. An optimization card has been built in the system for regulating the motor speed. The servo module comes with multiple safety features. It has a comprehensive failure detection mechanism that automatically recognizes system faults and intimates users for further action. If a servo motor is jammed during operation, the SM 17/35-TA reduces the current supply to 50% within two seconds. The module has a 17 A rated current and a 35 A peak current.
The SM 17/35-TA’s power loss has been capped at 150 W. The inverter system comes with a built-in commutation monitoring feature. A fault signal is produced if unwanted signals are transferred from the rotor position encoder. To warn against excess motor temperature, a fault signal is produced if the winding temperature rises above 140 ᵒC. Similarly, there is an intimation if the heat sink temperature rises beyond set value. The SM 17/35-TA's current regulator function allows controlling the motor's winding current. This enables the production of the required amount of torque to adjust the rotor's position. The device's maximum operating height is 1000 amsl. The system’s permissible humidity limits are in accordance with class F and DIN 40040. This product is available from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
