Product Description

The SF-B5.0460.020-10.000 is a motor built by the Bosch Rexroth. It is built to protect against electrical insulation. Its insulation class is F and is made according to the procedures of the VDE 0530 standard. This motor also provides a very good thermal protection. In this case, it also has F-class heat protection and for that, it is made in accordance with the DIN IEC 85 international standard. Just like any other mechanical device it also produces noise. Its noise level reaches up to a maximum of 85 dB(A) when heard from a distance of 1 meter. In this case, it also follows the instructions of the IAW EN 60034-T9.

When operated this motor produces a lot of heat and to dissipate it, it uses both radiation and natural convection. It is recommended by the manufacturer that, if necessary, then use the touch guard before touching the motor when it is operational since its surface temperature can reach up to 100 degrees centigrade. There is no option available for forced internal cooling. However, there are options available for the surface cooling of the motor.

Since this motor can get overheated when delivering its peak performance, that is why measures are in place to protect it from burning out. A special temperature measuring sensor; a thermistor, is embedded in its windings in evaluation with its related servo module. This thermistor allows it to operate between the temperatures of -5 to +150 degrees centigrade. This motor comes with a built-in holding brake of a permanent magnet, which is free from any kind of backlash.
