Product Description
SF-B5.0250.020-04.000 is a servo motor designed and manufactured by Bosch. The motors are supplied with electronic commutation and are known to be permanently excited motors. This motor is an SF-servo motor, as is evident at the very start of the part name. An SF-servo motor is different from an SR-motor in that it uses a single-turn absolute value encoder system for position and speed control as opposed to an SR-motor that uses a resolver to control speed and position. The present motor boasts a highly compact and sleek design, making it the ideal motor for your machines.
The motor has sinusoidal e.m.f and is made with a smooth aluminum frame with low contamination. The motor comes with an integrated encoder, as hinted above, and possesses installation pockets throughout the length of its surface. This version of the motor has more options than the basic version in that it possesses a shaft with a keyway and feather key while not having a mating connector. More importantly, the motor is supplied with a holding brake. The motor cools itself using natural convection; however, a surface ventilation option is also available.
The rated speed of the motor is 2000 min-1. The locked rotor current is 10A, while the locked rotor torque is measured at 23 Nm. The torque constant for the motor is calculated to be 2.3 Nm/A, and the moment of inertia, including the encoder, is 83x10-4 kgm2. The total mass of the motor, without including the mass of the holding brake, is measured as 24 kilograms. Since it is an SF servo motor, it has a single-turn encoder with an option for a multi-turn encoder. The additional weight of the holding brake is 3.8 kilograms.
