Product Description
The SF-B4.0230.060-10.050 is Bosch's flagship servo model in the SF-B4 series, with a rated standstill torque of 22 Nm and a speed of 6000 rpm. The SF-B4.0230.060-10.050 servo motor conforms to International Metric construction standards, with a horizontal shaft and the motor's foot mounting aligned accordingly. It also includes alternative configurations known as IM V1 and IM V3. IM V1 includes mounting the motor with the flange pointing downward, which is appropriate for applications needing this orientation. In contrast, IM V3 requires that the motor be positioned with its flange pointing upward, which serves special installation requirements.
The Bosch SF-B4.0230.060-10.050 comes with a smooth shaft following DIN 748 standard making it suitable for high load application as it provides rigid support preventing bending or damage to the shaft. To cool down the motor, the SF-B4.0230.060-10.050 relies on a natural cooling method requiring it to be installed 1000 meters above the ground. Users can also select the Surface ventilation option in the SF motor series depending on their motor configuration.
The SF-B4.0230.060-10.050 servo motor comes with an absolute value Single turn encoder or users can select the Multi-turn encoder option. For extended measurement range, higher accuracy, and reduced drift, users can select the Multi-turn encoder option, while for lower cost, simple, and compact design users can go for the Single turn encoder. The encoder has a resolution of 20 angular seconds/8 million increments per revolution meaning it can detect changes in position as small as 20/3,600 of a degree. The combined moment of inertia including the encoder is approximately 54 x 10-4 kgm2 making it crucial for dynamic response to changes in speed and torque.
