Product Description
The Bosch SF-B4.0230.030-14.030 is a 3000 rpm servo motor featuring advanced design and engineering including its locked-rotor torque performance. This motor, rated at 200 revolutions per minute (min⁻¹), has undergone rigorous testing and demonstrated a locked-rotor torque of 22 Newton meters (Nm) for a 30-second duration. This characteristic emphasizes the motor's ability to deliver a high torque output, ensuring smooth operation even under heavy load startup conditions. The motor has a torque constant of approximately 1.57 Nm per ampere of current drawn.
The motor has a smooth shaft which also makes it suitable for heavy load applications, hence allowing it to be used for more industrial applications such as weight-bearing machinery, high-tension pulling machines, etc. This particular motor is designed with safety in mind as it features an Integrated holding brake that works according to the fail-safe principle. The holding brake may only be activated when the servo is stationary and not in operation as it is not a working brake.
The holding torque of the holding brake is around 18 Nm and requires a voltage of 24 Volts to operate. To activate the brake, an external PLC system is required which Is not supplied with the motor. The maximum current draw for the brake is around 0.7 Amperes which makes it energy-efficient. Capacitive influences may cause a delay in brake disengagement. It takes around 50 ms to disengage the brake from the system with an additional 25 ms for mechanical delay. To avoid such interference it is always recommended to use a filter designed for this very purpose. This motor has a compact design with a length of 388 mm and a weight of 23.7 Kg making it easier to install and replace.
