The SF-A5.0250.030-10.000 is an AC servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The servo motor's holding brake is an optional feature that needs a 24 V DC power source with a tolerance of ± 10% and a residual ripple of no more than 5% in order to be released. When activated, the brake increases the motor's total weight by 3.8 kg and drains 1.33 A of current. With a moment of inertia of 30×10^-4 kgm^2, the brake adds to the motor's total resistance against variations in rotational motion.

When the optional holding brake is not mounted, this motor's maximum length is 300 mm, and its mass is 24 kg. It has a single-turn absolute value encoder (STG) with a precision of 20 angular seconds and 8 million increments per revolution, which can deliver exact position information in a single revolution. An alternative is a multi-turn absolute value encoder (MTG) for applications that need tracking across several revolutions.
