The SF-A5.0250.020-10.015 is a servo motor that is designed for high torque use and can provide a torque while standing still of approximately 23 Nm. This motor is great for heavy robotics and pay load-carrying applications and requires 670 volts DC linking voltage and 34 Amperes of current to operate when operating at maximum capacity. Since this motor is designed for high torque applications to provide safe operation this motor has a speed of 2000 rotations per minute which is lower than other motors in this series to prevent any accidents when moving at a high speed.
This motor has a frame size of 5, and has a length of 300 mm which makes it long and heavy as it weighs approximately 24 kilograms. The motor also does not feature a holding brake to help prevent rotation of the shaft using physical external force or during power losses.
To help the motor move its shaft accurately, the SF-A5.0250.020-10.015 servo motor features a single turn absolute encoder which helps the motor move to the position of interest by counting 80000000 increments per revolution but it cannot count the number of rotations made by the motor. The motor has a shaft sealing as well as IP 67 rating helping protect the internals of the motor without affecting the internal winding helping prevent corrosion and hence reducing power losses helping the motor run more efficiently. The motor design also supports flange mount for mounting it on a sturdy base.
