Product Description

The SF-A5.0250.020-04.000 is a servomotor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The “SF” stands for Sinusoidal Field. This device uses the Sinusoidal electromagnetic force (EMF) to work. The SF also shows that this motor is equipped with an absolute value encoder. This is a sensor that provides feedback on position and speed for accurate control. The control section has an “A5” frame size. The shaft comes with a keyway and a feather. The feather key is a rectangular piece that fits into the keyway and prevents the load from slipping. It ensures very efficient power transmission.

The holding brake keeps the shaft in position when there is no power. For instance, in a robotic arm, the holding brake would prevent the arm from collapsing under its weight when the power is off. The holding torque of this module is 56 Nm at 120°C. The locked rotor torque of this module is 23 Nm. It is a force that the motor can exert to rotate a load. It is the maximum torque; the motor can generate from a standstill. The torque constant of this control section is 2.3 Nm/A.
